Well i had this weird dream about me being in love with this boy i hate and have hated since like kinder, at one point when i thought i was halping him practice lines i had said “kiss me” and my friends pulled me away while we were in the middle of kissing. I was upset with them and i woke up to go to school. Last night i had a dream where he propose and we were engaged but were to be married AFTER college and it was going to be a secret until then. Well i had to wake up again, now i only think about this boy and these dreams and all my friends say i like him but i dont know what these dreams at all. Why did i fall in love with a boy whom i hate? Why him and not the boy i have been crushing on for practically forever?

Wow! What a great dream! I love the dreams that hold on to you all day long! And then to get them over and over again! Obviously your authentic self is trying to get a message across to you.. like ‘Hey, Hey, Hey…Hey!” :-)

Usually dreams like this have less to do with the person than with the personality and traits of that person. It is helpful to look at those traits and then see if there is some learning there for you.

So, if it were my dream, I would write down the boy’s name and write down all the traits he has, especially the ones that you ‘hate’. Like he is inconsiderate, he is lazy, he is too this or too that, whatever.

Then look at your own life and see if any of those traits are ones that you would like to adopt into your own life or have an ‘emotional’ charge. For example, if ‘so lazy’ comes up, maybe you are stressing over trying to get too much done and what you really need is to grab a little of that ‘lazy’ and schedule more downtime for yourself. Make sense?

And also the fact that your “friends in the dream” are pulling you away and in the other dream things needed to be secret until after college, could signify that your worried your social group is not really going to understand your need to bring this trait into your life.

As with all dreams, you are the best interpreter of the dream so always check in with your internal compass when you are doing dreamwork. Keeping a dream journal can help you spot trends and connect your dream to what is currently going on in your life.

So i have this crush on this guy Jake. And the other night i was dreaming about him all night. We did not really talk all that much the day before or anything. And well i dreamt i went to the store with my mom and then he was there. So i got in his truck. And then we pulled out of the school (weird i kno i always jump places in my dreams). I remember thinking that he is a really good driver and that we pulled out verry smoothly. Then we were continuing to drive when he started to turn around and look behind in his seat. I was like crap we are gonna go off the road. But then we pulled off he stopped and then he talked to his friends. Then i go i don’t wanna wake up, but i was still dreaming. then i woke up completely sweating. And this isn’t the first time i’ve woke up sweating dreaming about him. The first time i dreamt about him i did the same thing, but not as bad. I kno that the whole night i dreamt about him but i can’t remembering anything about those other dreams.

Hey, sounds like you are having some very powerful dreams.

Some of the symbols that i would look at if it were my dream would be around the truck and driving. Vehicles can symbolize the way we get around in life. The fact that he had a truck (meant for moving THINGS around and not so much PASSENGERS) could mean that he is a guy that you perceive as being more into being alone and doing things on his own. The fact that he was driving and he was driving ‘smoothly’ may mean that you like the way he is running his life but you feel you are a passenger in it (passengers generally aren’t the main participant and don’t make a lot of the decisions about where things are going or have any control over that). The fact that he looked in the back seat might mean there is something with him that happened in the past that you are afraid might take you two off course or “off the road”

It is interesting that you woke up sweating. I would look at if that is something that happens regularly when you dream. There maybe something that is physically causing you to sweat. When working with symbols one question to ask yourself is “If this were a character in a movie, what would it be communicating to the audience?” So, if you saw a girl in a movie wake up sweating after an intense dream, but you didn’t know what the dream was about, what would you think was going on with the girl?

Bottom line, if this was my dream, I would look at my choices in the dream and how they made me feel. Where they good for me or did they make me nervous.. or something else? Then figure out based on that what choices are best to make in my waking life.

  5. Eliza says:

I was standing in a room, holding a lighted candle. Its day time, and everything seems ok. Its almost like a prayer service or memorial service, but I am at peace and know that everything is good. And in the dream I am inside someones home.
What does this dream means? And what does this being at someones home means, in the dream it was not my home.

  6. Kris says:

    Hi Eliza,
I believe this could be one of those BIG dreams! I would be willing to bet that this dream has left you feeling that too… with a profound sense that it was different somehow from other dreams you have had. Awesome!

Looking into the symbolism. Lots of light in your dream– daylight/daytime, holding a candle. Light is often symbolic of an awakening. You can find this in many religious, light symbolizes truth and spirit. The fact that you are holding candle could indicate that there is an authentic truth that is begining to come into your conscious awareness. Houses as we have discussed are very often representative or ourselves. Since you felt it was not your home, I wonder if this might be representative of the ‘new’ part of yourself that you are discovering. I would look to the room and surroundings to get a more information about what this awareness might be about. Did you feel a connection to the room? What kind of room was it? (could give you a clue as to the area of your life you are dealing with) What was the condition of the room? Did it seem to be a room that was finished or perhaps it was under construction? What about the other people that were where? Can you gain some clue by describing them?

Alternately, if you just feel no connection at all to the room, it could be that you are ‘holding a candle’ for someone else. Or lending your energy and support to someone else who may be having a difficult time or coming to a realization in their own lives.

If it were my dream, I would look to the room for the key to understanding more about the dream and then how to craft the dream’s meaning into daily actions.

These kinds of dreams are my favorite, because they feel like they are coming from a deeply personal place inside. Thank you for sharing your dream. Love to hear what your get from your work with it!
